Summary: Recommended 16 inch or 17 inch: lightweight steering, flexible acceleration, and affordable price.

1、 Select wheel size based on usage and riding scenario

Urban commuting (frequent start stop, congestion):

Recommended 16 inch or 17 inch: lightweight steering, flexible acceleration, and affordable price.

Long distance motorcycle or complex road conditions:

Recommended 19 inch or 21 inch: Strong stability, good passability, suitable for unpaved roads.

Off road/Rally Cycling:

The front wheels are commonly 21 inches and the rear wheels are 18-19 inches, with spoke wheels to enhance impact resistance.

2、 Adapt wheel hub types according to vehicle models

Streetcar, sports car, cruise car:

Prioritize aluminum alloy cast wheels: lightweight, good heat dissipation, low maintenance, suitable for highway use.

Off road vehicles, ADV rally cars:

Recommended spoke wheel hub (wire ring): good toughness, repairable deformation, but requires regular calibration and poor sealing.

High performance or track use:

Forged aluminum alloy wheels can be considered: lighter in weight and higher in strength, but more expensive in cost.

3、 Wheel size and tire matching principle

The diameter must be consistent: if the tire is labeled "R17", the wheel hub diameter must be 17 inches.

Width matching:

The width of the wheel hub (J value) determines the range of tire width that can be adapted. For example:

5.5J → Suitable for 175-195mm tires (preferably 185mm)

7.5J → Suitable for 225mm tires (maximum 235mm)

9.0J → Suitable for 255mm tires (maximum 265mm)

The total diameter error is ≤± 3% to avoid affecting the speedometer, ABS, and transmission system.
